An Unexpected Gift at 10,000 Meters – and a Song on the Ground

During a trip to Iceland—where we are working to implement Signs of Safety—we had the great privilege of sharing a flight with a South African boys’ choir that travels the world to sing and spread joy. As their voices filled the cabin with warmth and hope, one thing became clear: children who are allowed to grow in community, creativity, and respect have the power to change the world.

When we landed, we spontaneously asked them to sing a song—and to our surprise, they did. They sang with such joy that it touched everyone around them. It was a moment of pure human connection, beyond language, background, and borders.
