Two Days with the Heart in Social Work

We recently had the joy of training Mölndal’s social psychiatry team—two days filled with engagement, wisdom, and heart. (The rest of the team kindly stepped in as photographers for this picture 😊.) Spending time with social workers who meet citizens every day at life’s most complex moments is truly a privilege.

Many of the people they work with are caught in a storm of complicating factors—mental health challenges, addiction, loneliness, trauma. And sometimes children are part of the picture as well. It is our shared responsibility to provide support without losing sight of the person’s broader context. Belonging is not a detail—it is a foundation. That is why the role of the network is central, both for recovery and for hope for the future.

We left Mölndal with gratitude and optimism—because there are professionals who see the person behind the challenge, and who carry the values of social work in both thought and action.
