Equality, Equity and BelongAlways

The difference between Equality, Equity and BelongAlways is more than words it is a vision for how we create real inclusion. When barriers are removed and people are allowed to stand together, belonging becomes not just an ideal, but a lived reality.

Equality

Everyone receives the same support, resources and opportunities — regardless of their starting point. Equal treatment for all.

Same treatment

Equity

Support is tailored so everyone can reach the same goal giving more to those who need it most. Fair outcomes for all.

Fair outcomes

BelongAlways

Barriers are removed, and inclusion becomes natural. Everyone stands together, seen, valued and truly included.

We support social services in strengthening their cultural competence without compromising the basic requirements for children's safety, security and well-being. Our goal is that every child should receive the support they are entitled to, without losing their identity, language, culture or religion.

We believe in a social service that sees the whole child not just the problem. By working inclusively, fairly and in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, we can together create an activity where all children, regardless of background, have their rights respected and their belonging confirmed.

Change is possible and it starts with courage, knowledge and a willingness to listen. When social services are given the right support, tools and knowledge, they can become a force for real justice and belonging.

Our Framework

Four Signs, One Whole Child

Belonging is never assessed in isolation it sits alongside safety, well-being and success as one of four connected perspectives.

Signs of Safety

Harm, danger, and the existing strengths that protect a child.

Signs of Well-Being

The child's experience, security and everyday development.

Signs of Success

Strengths, progress, and what's already working.

Signs of Belonging

Networks, relationships, and the feeling of truly being included.
